Twenty-five years ago I had a dream that I was making artwork using beads. A few days later I was having lunch with a friend of mine and out of the blue she told me she had the strangest dream about me.  Our dreams were nearly the same.  I decided this must be a message from the spirits so I started beading  and I have loved it ever since.

I started making beaded necklaces and I did that for several years.  I love making big dramatic pieces so over the years I experimented with gourds, baskets and wall hangings adding various fibers and embellishments to the beads.

People ask me where I get my ideas.  There is inspiration everywhere we look….from the colors and shapes in plants to the textures in someone’s hair to the material itself.   In general it can take up to 125 hours to make one basket.
