I was inspired by the writings of Arline Fisch, Marilyn Moore and Mary Hettmansperger who write about using metal as if it were fabric. I decided to use metal as if it were normal basket making material. This wall hanging has four small baskets inside a “canoe.” The baskets are woven using the same technique some people use with reed but instead are woven with colored copper wire. The “canoe” is made of waxed linen threads. It measures 2 inches wide by 9 inches high.
